Job Information

Amazon has a history and tradition of leading the world in Web-related technologies and services. Now, with EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) you have the chance to join the team as they help individuals and businesses take their computing infrastructures and applications into the Cloud.

Amazon Development Centre South Africa is looking for people passionate about solving problems and delighting customers. Amazon Web Services provides Amazon’s developer customers with access to in-the-cloud infrastructure services based on Amazon’s own back-end technology platform, which developers can use to enable virtually any type of business.  The Cape Town based Development Center plays a key role in building the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).

What can you expect from a life in the Amazon Cloud?  You will be surrounded by people who are wickedly smart, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success. You’ll work with customers to understand how they’re using our services, and provide feedback to the development teams, as well as working directly with engineers on those teams to ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible. You’ll represent Amazon and EC2 when customers want help using our services, and you’ll drive customer communication during EC2 critical events.

Do you enjoy playing with new and interesting technologies? Do you relish the challenge of solving thorny technical issues? Do you enjoy building tools to automate or simplify the diagnosis of those same thorny technical issues?

If you said yes to any or all of these questions we want to talk to you.
