Assist with prioritisation, and planning of enhancements and change requests related to a project
Utilise agreed project management best practice and governance standards to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
Ensure all project management deliverables meet a high quality standard
Participate in regular audits and ensure appropriate risk controls such as sign-off from compliance, legal etc are maintained.
Build successful vendor relationships to facilitate successful delivery of projects.
Ensure projects, where technical in nature, are executed in line with IT quality gates and technical standards where applicable.
Manage the project scope, following the change control process for exceptions or changes to the scope.
Manage project stakeholder expectations and priorities effectively
Understand stakeholders and their expectations and priorities for every project and manage these expectations through clear and regular communication.
Formalise communication according to stakeholder needs.
Facilitate signoff on all deliverables according to agreed project management best practice and governance requirements.
Facilitate ongoing liaison with other internal teams, service providers and software vendors in order to maximise delivery success.
Facilitate the procurement process according to the project and business requirements.
Track, action and report project financial information and monitor project budgets accurately in accordance with agreed standard project governance
Manage project resources (and the relevant relationships with the resource line managers), ensuring that the appropriate resources are available at the appropriate times.
Ensure successful delivery and manage stakeholder expectations through continuous risk management according to agreed project management best practice and governance requirements.
Maintain issue and risk logs and make these available in detail as well as through regular status reporting.
Have regular discussions to continually identify and mitigate risks.
Expertise (10%)
Continually build and enhance relevant knowledge of the business with a view to achieving thought leadership demonstrated through value in projects.
Demonstrate through attending all knowledge transfer session offered for Strategic Projects team members
Demonstrate through building relationships with key knowledgeable stakeholders
Participate in co-creation of the project management competency within the division in collaboration with the divisions Projects team members.
Collaborate on initiatives within the divisions Projects team aimed at improving internal effectiveness and knowledge management as it pertains to the project management competency.
People (10%)
Subscribe to and promote companies culture and values in all teams you work in or with.
Contribute to people development through providing proactive training, coaching and skills transfer opportunities for project management competency.
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members
Contribute to the development of project team members in accordance with their personal development plan through project interactions
Business Development (10%)
Develop an intimate knowledge of the business strategies for the areas that project management is supplied
Ensure that all projects are delivered meeting business requirements, can be measured through a sound business case and adhere to agreed business application and integration architecture principles
